Kennedy-Altoft is an Australian award winning Artist. She completed her Visual Arts
degree at QUT in 1993 and has had success both nationally and internationally. Her
concepts explores the aspects of human behaviour that compare to animals this is done
through the use of anthropomorphized hybrids. Her current work has focused on street
fashion of Hong Kong and capturing this culture with figurative portraits. Kennedy-
Altoft has had several Solo exhibitions in Hong Kong since arriving here in 2013.
In 2007 she was the winner of “Going Public-New and Emerging Artists” National
Award for new talent in Australia at the Town Hall Gallery Melbourne. This set the tone
for many art prizes and future exhibitions. Finalist for 2012-2017- Clayton Utz Art Prize, and Wilson Art Prizes, 2011 Flying Arts Regional Touring Queensland Art prize, Sunshine Coast Art prize, Prometheus Art Prize and was a finalist in the Caldera, Cricket, Stanthorpe and Scots PGC Art Awards.
In 2013/2014 Kennedy-Altoft had a Touring solo exhibition at Bundaberg and Noosa
Regional Art Galleries (Australia). Her works are found in collections in England, Hong
Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Russia Italy, Canada and most capital cities of Australia.
