Blanca Rosa, a versatile Spanish/Danish artist born in Beijing in 1994, holds a BFA from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and a foundation in Fine Arts from the Leith School of Art in Edinburgh. Her unique artistic perspective is influenced by her cross-cultural background. Blanca Rosa skillfully manipulates materials to produce artworks that feature intricate and profound imagery, drawing from her diverse experiences across various countries and cultures. Delving into themes like childhood and adolescence, both personal and universal, as well as the complexities and challenges of those formative years, she employs surrealism and magic realism to craft a world that is both enchanting and obscure. Currently based in Hong Kong, Blanca Rosa explores these thematic elements in her vibrant, dynamic, and colourful paintings created within her studio.
