Chan Ying Tung born on Hong Kong and she recent graduate of the Visual Arts program at Hong Kong Baptist University. She has developed a deep fascination with the medium of ceramics since 2018. It has become a crucial part of her artistic practice, as she continuously explores its unique characteristics and strives to master techniques like glaze application, hand-building, and wheel-throwing. Chan aims to push the boundaries of what this medium can achieve and solidify her technical proficiency .

Conceptually, Chan's work is heavily influenced by her interest in pop culture themes and the experiences of everyday life. Using ceramics as her primary medium, she seeks to express her personal feelings, perspectives, and interpretations of the world around her in an ironic, humorous , and lively manner.
