Originally from the UK, Claire moved to Hong Kong in January 2015. Claire is a self-taught artist who is fascinated by what we ‘see’ as being the product of many things unseen, and how we find connection in the world around us. In her abstract paintings, Claire likes to build layers. These layers may comprise similar colours, shades, and techniques, or may be very different to each other. What is ultimately ‘seen’ in the finished artwork is the product of its individual layers. Some of Claire’s paintings feature poetry written by the artist which further explore the relationship between what we see and what we feel.
