Booths Not To Miss At Affordable Art Fair 2022

Updated: Nov 26, 2023

The Affordable Art Fair returns to the Convention and Exhibition Centre this year from the 4th - 7th August. We are getting excited and if last year is anything to go by, this year's fair is going to be fantastic! Here’s a round up of booths that you won’t want to miss. Can’t wait to see you all there!

The Hong Kong Arts Collective - Booth D12

Well if we’re making a list of booths not to miss we can’t help but mention ourselves! We’ve got a great lineup for you this year. Some familiar names like Camille Levert, Wu Jianzhong and Pete Ross will be with us again and we’ve got some exciting new talent in the form of Rick Lo, Elena Klimova and Shawn P Griffin. We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve got in store.

We might be a little biased but we've been printing our own fine art prints for over a year and have got great feedback. We print on 310g/m2 smooth premium fine art paper that is 100% cotton rag, archival and acid free. If you have a particular paper in mind we can make arrangements and work with you for the best results. For A4 our prices start at around 60HKD per print which is a bargain especially for artists on a budget. We've worked with many artists and our prints are sure to last and look great on any wall.

Next Gen - Young Talents booth

Curated by the one and only Johnathan Jay Lee, the Next Gen booth is going to be a knock out. JJL has brought together 26 young and very talented local artists to bring you THE NEXTGEN. We already know some of these artist, Kristy Hon and JUM, so if their standard of work is anything to go by we’re all in for an absolute treat.

A favourite with many artists in Hong Kong, Hong Kong imaging offers fine art as well as film scanning and printing. For fine art printing their prices for A4 start at around 100HKD per print. They have excellent scanning and artwork capturing services and take the time to work with artists to ensure the highest quality service. With a wide range of services its easy to see why they're so popular.

Art Supermarket - Booth B09

Art Supermarket always put on a good show and we’re sure their booth at this years fair will be no different. Get ready for bright eye-catching work from artists such as Szabotage and Michael Andrew Law.

Color Six Productions has moved locations a few times and was formerly known as Color Six Laboratories. They offer scanning and printing as well as framing and mounting. They can also print on vinyl stickers which are perfect for gallery and exhibition windows and also print on aluminum panel for photographers looking to give their photos some extra flair. They typically charge a minimum of 100 HKD per print. Their friendly staff go out of their way to help with any project and will hand deliver so its easy to see why they're another favorite.

Young Soy - Booth A03

If you haven’t heard about Young Soy yet then you’re missing out. With a very successful booth last year and some amazingly talented artists on their books, we’re very much looking forward to their booth this year. With 13 artists for you to feast your eyes on, you won’t be disappointed. In particular we’re excited to see Mooncasket, Taxa, Obsrvr and Francesco Lietti.

MarblePrintClay (MPC) is an artist-run printmaking studio. They're different from the rest of the shops on this list as their focus is on hand-printing. Equipped with traditional printmaking tools, MarblePrintClay offers studio rental, a wide range of courses, and access to specialist technicians and large format printing. Their workshops typically start at around 180HKD and its a great way to learn about traditional printing methods such as lino printing, etching and screen printing.

Art Rooftop - Booth B03

We met the guys form Art Rooftop at last years fair and are very glad to see them back again. After their success at Art Central we are very excited to see what they have in store for AAF. This year they will be showing Seema Mathew, Marcelle Rosfelder-Leu, John Gale and we are particularly excited to see the work of their chief artist Sergei Rozhnov.

Located in Chai Wan, the heart of Hong Kong's photographic community, Chaudigital HK Ltd has a long and illustrious history of helping clients produce the best possible work. Their clients include international artists, galleries, hotels and art fairs such as Art Basel to name a few. Although typically more expensive than previously mentioned shops, Chaudigital's long-standing reputation and expertise in fine art printing place it firmly on this list.

Rainze - Booth E12

Two of our favourite artists Ze Ze Lai and Rainb.w are joining up again at their gallery’s booth Rainze. Both Rainb.w and Ze Ze are formidable artists and we can’t wait to see what they’ve got. If stunning watercolours are your thing then this booth is not to be missed! Seriously, don’t miss it!

SpectrArt offers printing, scanning and framing. They offer a huge range of services and fine art paper. Their print lab ensures printing at a gallery quality level and all prints are carefully color managed with the latest imaging technology on the market. They also offer an installation service and certificates of authenticity. They are more expensive than some the other shops on this list but their expertise makes them a great option.

For new gallery Odds and Ends this will be their first time exhibiting at AAF. They have an awesome selection of around 10 artists including Virginia Lo, JUM and Nasim Pachi. The founders, who have been in the industry for almost a decade, definitely know how to put a fantastic booth together and we can’t wait to see it!

Trail Studio offers an art printing and framing service. They can print on a range of fine art papers and you can arrange pick up from their Wan Chai collection point. Their fine art printing prices start at around 300HKD per print.
