Touch Gallery is excited to announce our collaboration with Yuta Nishiura, for his solo exhibition “Between words”, held from July 2nd to July 31st 2025.

After working with Yuta Nishiura for three years, Touch Gallery welcomes him for his long anticipated first solo exhibition in Hong Kong! Born in 1974 in Yokohama, Japan, he studied in Tanzania at the Bagamoyo Art University with a specialisation in sculpture, then furthered his studies in Tokyo University of the Arts with a focus in Chinese traditional painting. He also studied at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts, further honing his craftsmanship to perfection.

Yuta Nishiura’s wooden sculptures are exquisitely carved, vivid and full of life. He deftly combines precious childhood memories with stories of his exotic travel experiences, using his artwork to create an unprecedented world of curiosity and wonder. They allow viewers to immerse themselves, and contemplate the abundant universe of his imagination. Nishiura’s skill has been recognized worldwide – he has hosted numerous solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Osaka, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and many other major Asian cities, garnering high praise from many of Asia’s top collectors, solidifying his status as an outstanding contemporary artist.
