HKWALLS ROOMS

HKWALLS ROOMS

A groundbreaking new initiative offering accessible exhibition space to ten independent artists and galleries, HKWALLS ROOMS celebrates HKwalls’ decade-long legacy as the city’s leading street art NGO, tirelessly transforming urban space into vibrant cultural platforms. Its objective is to create an immersive, accessible art experience that bridges street culture and contemporary art markets, while driving foot traffic, media attention, and collector engagement.

Presented in units across PMQ, HKWALLS ROOMS’ inaugural participants include The Jaunt, a pioneering artist residency programme headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark, that sends artists to uncharted global destinations to create site-inspired works; and Prague’s Chemistry Gallery, a powerhouse for contemporary art that champions emerging Czech and international talent with a focus on painting, sculpture, and immersive light installations. Pablo Art Gallery, a Manila-based hub for radical creativity, will be collaborating with Le Dernier Cri, the Marseille-based serigraphy workshop led by Pakito Bolino.

Hailing from Rotterdam are Reinier Landwehr, a multidisciplinary artist who crafts kaleidoscopic worlds where dreams and nightmares collide, and Jelmer Konjo, who aims to interrogate the rigid norms of adulthood through whimsical, process-driven art. Representing Hong Kong in the group are the Hong Kong Arts Collective (HKARTS), an artist-led initiative dedicated to empowering local creatives; and KC Wong, the multidisciplinary artist and cultural provocateur behind Sick Sick Creation and ARTube. Yeah!Nah!, a gallery set to challenge the art world with its innovative approach to curation, allowing visitors to become curators and decide on the artwork that will be showcased with winning pieces advancing to a final showcase; and TwentyCinco, a contemporary street art gallery launched with a mission to spotlight emerging talent and elevate the city’s underground art scene.
