Make And Do

Becky Gilmour founded Make and Do HK in Hong Kong, bringing her passion for textile arts and craftsmanship to life. Originally from Cumbria in the Lake District, Becky relocated to Hong Kong in 2011, where she established her studio in 2017.
At Make and Do HK, the focus is on creating innovative textile art and installations that blend robust design principles with a love for craftsmanship. The studio offers a variety of tactile works that encourage exploration and engagement, alongside textile-led courses designed to foster creativity and skill development at our Chai Wan location.
With over 13 years of experience in the fashion industry, Becky returned to her roots in crafts to create meaningful experiences. She has collaborated with prominent brands such as Facebook, Adidas, Bloomberg, and SWIRE, facilitating brand and team-building events that highlight the unifying power of craft and creativity.
Additionally, Becky is dedicated to inspiring the next generation in textile arts, having worked with various educational institutions, including The ISF Academy and multiple ESF Schools across Hong Kong.
