Alex Peaker paints Hong Kong’s remote beaches and islands as an antidote to the high-density city where most of us live and work. While his paintings are a form of escape from the city and a reconnection to nature, it is also landscape viewed with his architect’s eyes; enjoying the forms and structures of the mountains, rocks and sea and capturing the light and shadows cast by the bright subtropical sky.

Alex is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art in Scotland where he studied Architecture. He is currently focused on painting in watercolour.
